I'm not a huge Momoe fan either but wouldn't you say that's an oversimplification of her trauma?

Her trauma isn't that she's a tomboy. Her trauma is that she feels like she cannot be herself. The last time she embraced her girly side it led to her friend's suicide. To stop that from happening again, she's overcompensating by shutting away her girly side, but that conflicts with who she truly is. Everyone sees her as a guy, so it's meaningful to her when there is finally a man who sees her as who she wants to be, a girl.

The past 2 episodes of tpn had me laughing hard, what a f***ing disgrace

Lowkey this season in retrospect wasnt that great for me, at least at this point in time
Tpn obviously was hot garbage, horimiya is slowly falling off to me and while i still think its decent i expected more after the first episodes which i really enjoyed, part 2 of rezero s2 was worse than part 1. Lets see how wep, dr stone and beastars end but yeah, it wasnt all that tbh.

Next season could be the one for real this time

feel like no ones really talking bout it but slice of life gang was eating good this season - even if horimiya been kinda hit or miss lately, yuru camp, non non biyori, and tomozaki all delivered.

with all the all the other big shows out there too i ended up watching 10 shows this season when i usually only watch like 0-3, and while im only like 3 episodes into TPN so i cant judge it yet, only shows i think are bad are the isekai sequels im watching (rezero and log horizon). i mean i hope next season can be fire too but just from looking at the schedule i dont see how it could possibly stack up to this one atm

I haven't been watching any slice of lives other than horimiya so i cant personally talk about those, but from the ones ive watched ive been disappointed more than ive been satisfied. I have as many shows i plan to watch next season as i had this one, if it turns out like this i think im gonna slow down with seasonals for a while lol, not gonna be able to handle that much disappointment

AOT ended up by far being the best anime of the season

but Mushoku Tensei is easy #2

I still think WEP and Re:Zero S2 P2 were both pretty strong and HoriMiya has been hit or miss but its still super enjoyable to watch.

Definitely one of the best seasons overall in quite some time. This AOT season is one of the best animes ever created so I have to put this season up even higher.

Wonder Egg the best of the season and it doesn’t get a mention

With this amount of shows im bound to dislike some of them but if the ones im really anticipating deliver its gonna be better than this season for me

I didnt mention aot cause it didnt start this season, in fact i wouldnt put aot in last season either, but yeah aot is a 10/10 for me, best season of the series so far, and i cant even imagine what next season/movie gonna be like

MHA 5's quality will be determined by its pacing. It can be the best mha szn yet

tokyo revengers is solid too but to your eternity is what I'm looking forward to the most. It can gain some serious momentum if it's adapted well

def watching My Hero, Fruits Basket and Megalo Box S2

but outside of that idk. I might check out Hige wo Soru or Tokyo Revengers depending on the reception but a lot of these anime listed just look like they got huge mid potential

Horimiya isn't a serious anime past the first couple episodes. I read the manga, and it'll just be more character building and interactions. The manga is almost done, and I'm near the end.

Just enjoy it as a funny and wholesome slice of life with a real realistic relationship

I know its that but when the show itself tries to look more into its characters and with some it doesnt for some reason, and the fact miyamura and hori's relationship really has become stagnant since they got together, plus the pacing being kinda fast adding and removing characters within single episodes, im kinda disappointed. I still like it cause its wholesome at its core and i like that aspect, but it leaves a lot to be desired
