Finally watched perfect blue

Idk how you finished it. it plays on the stupid anime tropes too hard for me to continue. I watched like the first 3 episodes.

I thought hey this is cute but then it got really cringe worthy for me but not bad enough to drop

I figured I'll say more about Fire Force

It's pretty inconsistent going from cool fire fights at its best to awkward humor at its worst.

The direction in the anime is very off putting and ruins the whole vibe. Scenes last a few more seconds than they should, characters stand still when they don't absolutely have to move, quick tone shifts like going from a dramatic scene to a b*** grab suddenly. This makes episodes pretty confusing if you try to pay attention. It feels like nothing's happening or like everything's happening.

The script generally and the comedy specifically feel awkward. The plot/characters is cliche but would be alright if it was more simple. The plot is ambitious (which I like) but goes all over the place. The whole evangelist s*** is just a dumb cult I don't know how it has followers. Um that's it.

I still watch it because it has cool moments, characters shine, battles are cool, soundtrack choices etc.

Fair Enough. I actually fw the direction, although I can see why it can come off as awkward for other people. I'm kinda tired of shonens right now but the direction in this one just makes it stand out from the other ones out there for me.

By the end of the day its still a shonen and I actually previously dropped it at like EP6/7 when Shinra beat the female captain just because I was tired of that shonen cliche.

I actually also don't mind Shinra as the protagonist (which is what ruin many shonens for me), he's still that cliche "i'm a good person, I hate evil" shonen protagonist but I don't feel like its as excessive like Deku from MHA.

I'm only on EP 12 right now so I can't speak on the evangelist s*** since its just been introduced and I don't really mind the Tamaki fan service but I agree with the random b*** grab being random af and pretty awkward at like EP 8 or 9, don't know if that s*** is gonna be a common occurrence yet tho
