Don't really see the Kon comparison with WEP at all. It seems way more influenced by a combination of Ikuhara and Yamada than Kon.

Yea pretty much, it was combined into a movie in Japan and it covered all the existing manga material

The manga got a season 2 though

It’s mostly in reference to the surreal happenings of the first episode and the way in which they make it difficult for the viewer to tell apart what’s reality and what’s not. Granted I’m still not sure what WEP is going for with this two worlds thing
