    That was actually one of the most ambitious Attack on Titan episodes I've ever seen The rotoscoping looked great and it resulted in this episode having more character animation than the rest of the series combined lmao. Cinematography was great too, they tried a lot of shots that I don't remember seeing much in the previous seasons. Only real complaint is that the compositing was really f***ing bad at times: there were some noticeable moments where the characters and backgrounds didn't match up so it looked like the characters were gliding across the screen instead of walking.

    If you like it it must mean its a 10/10 episode

    true but from what i’ve read on the differences between manga and anime versions, doesn’t sound like the manga did anything much important better than the anime (other than a couple people actually dying lol)

    there's 25 volumes and the anime adapted only 12-11 of em

    ah yeah i’d forgotten about the difference in length. i can imagine the manga benefitting from the extra time spent with the characters, i already felt attached to em by the end of the anime lol
