The story in one piece is always changing too plus I dont think characters are a problem in one piece. Literaly every arc introduces like 50 new characters with new power concepts and plot twists/reveals about the overall story and world

I wasnt talking just bout the anime or manga but a lil bit of both

Ok but compared to jojo where in one part you're in a florida prison, another one you're in italy, the other one in a little countryside japanese Town, the other in 19th century US one piece doesnt offer as much variety. Oda's a genius world builder so he's always able to introduce new places with their lore and characters, hut it all ties into the same lager story. Someone feels more intimidated by the fact its taking rufy more than 900 chapters to find the one piece rather than jojo's bloodline of different joestars facing their destiny. Both are must reads tho

Have you seen Hibike Euphonium? I’m watching that and Great Pretender right now and both are honestly easy 9/10

Hibike season 1 could even be a 10/10

I’ve enjoyed hunter x hunter, Steins Gate, Cowboy Bebop, Terror in Resonance, Erased until the last episode, Clannad, Baka and Test, Yu Yu Hakusho, that’s all that I can recall that kept my interest.

I’m also currently in love with House in Fata Morgana, a Visual Novel.

Kyoani hasn’t done it for me, lots of moe and very srylized art but little emotional weight with their shows, or a riveting story. THere’s violet evergarden, saw the first episode and have been iffy with it since

What about them did you enjoy? This is literally just a list of entry level shows so there's not much information to get from this other than to rec you other random entry level shows. Literally the only thing I can sort of figure out here is that you don't watch shows with female leads.

What I enjoyed about the show, is the manner of how they were written. I’m not big on spectacle, but how the artists and directors managed to put weight into their actions, slowly build them up and make them complex seamlessly, and not too one note

I’m not big on shounen, ecchi, harem, isekai’s, or power fantasy. If the show dares to try something new, I’m always down to give it a shot.

I don’t mind it, but a lot of mangas these days don’t tickle my fancy.

The latest one that I found that has kept my interest was King’s Beast. I liked the simple synopsis, and how there’s a mystery aspect involved, while avoiding the trope of a female lead being pushed for romance. I can see it happening, but not so overtly that it’s a given.

Going by your post i think you'll love Urasawa. Read or watch monster, a masterpiece that even people not familiar with the medium and japanese culture in general can watch and enjoy. Also going by your other posts you seem to have watched the essentials. Id say keep watching these type of anime right now to find what genre you're more into. So watch attack on titan, evangelion, monster like ive cited before, baccano, fullmetal alchemsit brotherhood. These are all anime you'll see at the top of many lists, but before going down the rabbit hole you gotta start with the classics
