I liked even Howl's Moving Castle but I agree with you, after most Ghiblie Movies end I crave for more and I find that the concepts or messages aren't explored enough.I view ghibli movies like astro boy manga
by that I mean they were game changers and helped the industry progress but at the same time they imposed a certain style while gatekeeping the same big names (astro boy did not do the latter)
personaly...I prefer the style of mamoru oshi if we're talkin old school

There's a lot of understated beauty within the main themes - which are pretty much timeless, seeing as we humans will always struggle to reconcile our existence and its inherent ambitions with the natural world surrounding us.

2008 shaman king start to the story is absolutely superior.
so far the 2021 anime has more detail regarding the actually shaman fight tournament part of the anime. it is really sad to me because if they could have combined the best of both worlds, it would have been perfect.

did the anime get any better? i dropped it early cause of how fast the pacing was & how iffy the animation was

haven’t seen either anime adaptation but i’m on volume 22 in the manga and it makes me so sad that the new one seems to have skimped on the intro of the story before the Shaman fight :( that s*** was a solid 10 volumes lol.
