as for the sus stuff in anime, I dont see anything wrong with acknowledging it can have sus s***, but i do think using "well, everyone ELSE does it" is a terrible defence for an anime

my post certainly was not meant to defend made in abyss, just my thought process on why ill watch s2

and you may be right. it could just be that its so jarring it sticks in my memory longer. But ive seen far more sus s*** in anime than id ever like to. like i wish i could show my dad steins gate but i just dont want him to have to experience Daru smh

why do they even put that s*** in the anime? made in abyss in particular, those 3 or so scenes add nothing to the story and are completely irrelevant. even if the mangaka writes them in, it should be extremely easy to just leave those parts out in the adaptation
