I don't know anything about Spriggan so choose one (or multiple) based on what sounds most logical.

1. It has a ton of complicated s*** that is too f***ing annoying to animate (e.g., horses, cars, mechs, complicated character designs)

2. The production schedule is up in flames so resorting to CGI for certain things is faster and makes sure the studio doesn't fall behind (e.g., literally any Mappa anime)

3. CGI is generally more expensive so maybe the studio feels like burning money for no reason.

4. Netflix (assuming they are an actual member of the production committee), decided to push for the use of CGI even though they have licensed plenty of anime with no CGI.
