I missed that squeaky clean animation artstyle with tones of grey

The world building in those early episodes

You’ll see those tones of grey shine during the scenes at the Republic as well as the interior of the mechs during the fight scenes

The character design of this show is just elite

yeah its too early for me rn but i can kind of see that

s1 started with just battlefield s*** but seeing how the world outside works like that one scene with the 86 protest or the vagnards marching plus their habitual use of the communication earrings and the almost foreshadowed political s\*\*\* really makes me think okay there's more s*** at stake than I thought and more paths this can take other than just an expansion of the already established s*** at s1

@lilkuya bro, frederica is the only type of character I didnt expect in 86. (in a good way she funny af) if it wasnt for her plot heavy background she wouldnt work in that environment but now she does

she's well written too, her reactions feel organic and not the typical ''whoopsie im a kid so im clumsy'' anime humor
