what I said about the animation applied only to the fighting sequences. The rest is 100% an upgrade from gridman. If you liked gridman you're going to love it, I guarantee that.

I think I might need to rate this series a 10/10. I just like how the show didn’t have this heavy emphasis on a supernatural form of magic and that the magic came from the charm of the characters and the stage acting. Sure, there was a talking giraffe but the stage, the sets, even the train of the movie all involved machinery and crafts made by Seisho Academy.
I also pretty much liked every character and their relationships with one another. the music/singing was a delight.
