I have a habit I'd like to know if any of you have too
so, even though I skip most opening and ending songs after a couple episodes (with a few exceptions), whenever I get to the last 1-2 eps of a series I kind of ''force'' myself to not skip em cause it'll be my ''last time listening to em'' lol and I dont know if this is weird or normal

Lol I used to do that but these days I don’t skip ops or ed very much

understandable if the song is amazing, my fav part of tokyo revengers was the op tbh, f*** the rest
but what if you're watching 5-6 eps back to back?

Watching the op if its fire, its part of the experience to me
I see, you're time savvy
that + anime credit music is cringe to me. it’s just not something I wanna listen to.

there's the visuals part you mentioned where I've noticed some ops make sense in a symbolic way when youre 90% into the anime

man new season when? tbh I pretty much forgot everything that happened it’s been so long

i do the same thing first episode ill watch them and then for the rest of the show ill skip it till the last episode

Oh yeah, its great when you can get something from the show just through the op visuals, but even if the visuals have nothing to do with the show if they're cool/artsy/hype i still like them

I get that. A person of western culture or at least in a western country bumping asian songs with words no one around him understands in a weird manner can be cringe
but personally, the only music I cringe at is trance.....that whole 90s wave of e pills and repetitive music is the most cringe s*** I've seen in music

Yeah, I was watching nisekoi which is basically a rom com and the OP has a perfectly orchestrated ''action'' sequence without looking out of place so that's cool too
i do the same thing first episode ill watch them and then for the rest of the show ill skip it till the last episode
yeah, but stardust is making an interesting point about it being part of the experience
same way I saw a YT video about how manga covers arent just ''ads'' but there's a reason why they're part of the introduction
I don't skip any op/ed
Usually pay attention to them the first time around and then check my phone during them in the following episodes
Imagine skipping the ed and missing potential after credits content

imagine fast forwarding the ending credits and just watching the lil clip at the end
that’s what I do
