best part about finishing a manga while an anime ongoing is the ability to multitask without missing anything
I like watching anime wayyy after I read the chapter the episode is based on
if it's fresh on my mind I compare the monochrome panels to the animation and I get mindfucked
for example, I'm so glad I finished kimetsu no yaiba a year before the mugen train movie dropped
ODEN SAMMMMMAAAAAAAA THE GOAT F***
damn bro you already caught up to wano?!
didnt you start one piece recently?

yeah, 900 episodes worth of ages lol
the faraway paladin is the best isekai manga I've ever read
apparently it's not like the anime since the anime was based on the light novel but this manga, whew....it's seriously heat, it's one of the few isekais worth reading and if I had to pick I'd say it's #1
speaking of isekai, shield hero s2 is supposedly dropping later this year...season 1 was decent.

Read Alice in borderland itβs pretty good. Currently reading Livingstone (which is pretty interesting) and some GL. I may wanna check out a fantasy isekai after tho. Or maybe a just a fantasy manga idk yet.
I was interested in Psyren but heard it got axed at the end

Psyren doesn't have an awful ending, though it definitely did get cancelled. Suffered from being in JUMP at the same time as the big 3.
Caught up to AOT last night and I was in the minority in the group chat thinking it changed tone suddenly. It's interesting but feels like it came out of nowhere and felt like Lost to me. But ppl been telling me I just don't remember and it's been building up to this the whole time. Idk if I'm tripping. I watched every season once.

When do you think this sudden change happened?

It helps if you got guys put some s*** into context. Iβve got some ppl that had they not been at these gatherings we have to watch the eps they wouldβve been lost. Especially during this whole szn.

When Eren's head was cut off and they went into this otherworldly place. Just felt like the tone shifted completely and suddenly they're both Gods who can control life, death and time. I didn't understand WTF they were talking about plus Eren is so OP now it seems like it doesn't really matter what any other character wants to do now. If he's a God who controls people's minds and time then he can do anything.

They explained it to me but it got me pissed off because why do I have to remember every detail just to enjoy it?
Armin, Mikasa, Gabby, Reiner, the scary b\*\*\*\*, none of them matter anymore who cares about them. They can't do anything.

Na you just need a rewatch

i see what you're saying but its a product of titan powers being sci-fi. Its almost intentionally otherworldly, esoteric, and once you rewatch everything you put all the pieces together cause the anime foreshadows a lot of things that will happen later on. For example, ig you're caught up to the latest episode (episode 81) i suggest rewatching season 2's ending to see what im talking about. In theory eren's power seems to be godlike, but i think that there's still zeke who's probably still alive, after all we didnt see his death, and ymir who may still out of nowhere do something else since she found out shes free, plus while having these immense powers eren is still a mortal. Also, the attack titan's powers are limited. You can see the future, but only glimpses of it, in fact eren didnt know that zeke could break the king's vow or that he was being chained by zeke.
If you want to keep discussing aot tho i suggest going to the aot thread

Oh yeah, the tone definitely changed for the final stretch of the manga. I take it as like the final journey feel where everything is crashing.
