I liked Your Lie In April and I hate Pancreas does that make sense?

It's similar except the characters in Pancreas are both terrible and no beautiful piano scenes

I get you since both have the same sense in some ways but yeah the characters can also make or break their shows after all

You should check out Hibike (it's time I shill again ), one of its co-director is the person who did Clannad. The show very much focuses on the drama though with the romance stuff remains an undertone. The other major thing it had going is the music and we're taking about one of the better showcase ever presented through the medium. Show really is that great in many ways
