Whole lotta bad takes about aot from demon slayer watchers!!!
funny you should bring up Demon Slayer, that’s prolly the other most overrated anime rn
A lot of mfs hate the show for the simple fact it became insanely popular - on some contrarian s***. Bro rlly said he finna give it a 1/5
ah yeah anyone who disagrees with your very popular opinion is just being a contrarian for the sake of contrarianism, right??
It really isn't. Demon Slayer is great, but it cannot touch some of the themes present in AoT.
Also, regardless of the quality of the manga ending, the foreshadowing and planting of seeds Isayama did was some genius s***.
more like isayama wrote himself into a corner and couldnt figure out how to end the series lol
Toradora soon
Next*
AOT is insane, i’m afraid we won’t see a show as good as AOT in a very long while. The ending was very disappointing though
yall get too in your feelings defending your favorite shows that you gotta tear another show down. corny af
i dont wanna watch AOT because its been kinda trash but it would feel kinda cathartic to be able to finally slap a 1/5 on it after suffering through all those episodes
good take

Aight, so first off notice how I said "a lot of ppl" not "all ppl". And yeah anyone who thinks the show is legitimately a 1/5 has got to be on some contrarian s***. Even if u think the plot is trash, the animation is often spectacular, the voice acting is great, the score is fantastic, etc.
Every time I see someone call it trash they can never justify it outside of some superfluous bullshit.
kids on the slope ending
They coulda started doing heroin and end up being jazz legends but they rather give up on their dreams to become doctor and priest while b\*\*\*\* boy living out his pop stay dreams
I’m jk bro calm down

The ending itself wasn't nonsensical, the main problem was how rushed it all was and the terrible quality of certain dialogues. It didn't need everything explained, but at least have the characters maintain some sort of inteligent/nuanced speech.
They could have toned down the zenitsu gag like two levels . It had no right being that annoying leading up to his sleep attack
AOT ending could have been amazing if the ending convos lasted longer and mental states/themes were explored better . I don’t find the idea of the ending bad just rushed

i dont get the hate for zenitsu
most anime in the same genre have a crybaby character....at least zenitsu gets s*** done

I've seen a lot of crybabies but I never seen in turned up to 10 like that for two episodes for the entry of a character. Even characters like usopp can mix in more actual jokes and fluctuations of attitude . im only on episode 12 so hopefully the show does more with him but that introduction was annoying. At least he's strong though

the entire series we're led to believe that eren was curious about life outside the walls and is fueled to join the survey corps after his mother gets eaten by a titan only to find out that eren after gaining ymir's power he was able to predetermine every event thats happened since the beginning of the series and even sacrificed his own mother to save bertolt who betrays them later on in the series. he also genocides 80% of the other island for "his friends sake" armin asks him why did he do all that and no bs eren tells him he doesnt even know why he did it. and then armin THANKS him for it
thats not nonsensical to you lmfao?

when you have shows with pure-hearted protagonists you need flawed characters to avoid a circle jerk of morality and role models
zenitsu is cool imo....most other shows have some sort of growing up moment where these types of people just snap but demon slayer uses the sleep gimmick to avoid that
he gets better arc by arc tho

excited to hear he gets better and trust me I like that he's ridiculous and flawed I just thought it was a little too over the top for too many scenes. I like his character design a lot though and he's kinda cute on occasion. Just my first impression as of now, for some reason im just now watching demon slayer
i liked the aot ending
it was the best possible outcome for the characters we grew to love...isayama's only choices were to either kill a bunch of people off or come up with a plot twist to preserve everyone

Well, you could argue that Eren made that choice/sacrifice to simply fuel his hatred for the titans and thus kickstarting his path - In other words, he had no choice. As for your last point, yeah, I did say the dialogue got pretty atrocious (that s\*\*\* Armin said was comical af).
But when I say the ending made sense, I was moreso talking about how the story of AoT mirrors a lot of our reality. The theme of the never-ending cycle of hatred / the illusion of freedom, was and still is pretty powerful imo.

well at least you have a lot of stuff to binge lol
i rewatched the movie before season 2 only to find out it's a recap
i watched both nonetheless

theres like maybe 3 scenes per season where they manage to drag Imai into the building and force him to draw by chaining him to the table. Outside of those handfuls of scenes the animation is nothing to talk about
