In hindsight wish I had done this. Loved Shippuden but the pacing was whack, especially in the war arc

Lelouch rlly is a fantasticly written character, in the sense he constantly challenges the viewer's emotions. The perfect anti-hero.
I never understood how some ppl compare him to Light - who was just an egotistical psycopath and pretty much the villain of the story.
Light and Lelouch are both a genius teenager with supernatural powers and questionable agendas. Light was the villain but Lelouch did a lot of morally wrong things during Code Geass. The difference is his character redemption and having no one to cheer for on the other side. There's no opposite character to Lelouch that is as good as L for Light, they're all stupid and aren't as likable as Lelouch.

if im guessing the arc right. Your talking about the fight where the SH 1st fight pacifista. I'm talking about character growth. What about the characters has changed since that huge moment? Nothing.The whole point of that fight is that luffy learns that charging in and just recklessly doing what he wants whenever he wants could lead to his crewmates getting hurt or what he believed to be dead.
The problem is he still does this. at the start of wano Luffy doesn't follow laws plan and does whatever he wants and his friends and a little girl he just met fake die again. its honestly one of my biggest pet peeves with one piece. Characters go through an arc just to reset in the next one
I feel like setting up a timeskip was important for One Piece. Also the arcs where Luffy was going solo, felt really different for One Piece and like he grew subtly as a character. Ofc he's gonna keep being Luffy, but I think he's different from the pre-timeskip Luffy.

no hate do you but i personaly use wikis only for lore stuff like kimetsu no yaiba, eva, one piece etc
if you dont like it, you dont like it. I get it's not the most meaningful deep provocative s*** ever but it was fun and hilarious to watch...for me, at least (plus i liked the artstyle and the girls' designs)
