NayutaIt's easy to get all the ingredients you need and set them up on the table, but everything that comes after you put all that in a bowl is where things can go left
Could be a lot of reasons more specifically, but you'd have to ask the writer themselves at that point yknow
its such a letdown tho both for the fans and the creators cause most series that did that had great art and everything

this is not rhetorical btw...if a formula of 10 volumes is successful then why introduce 20 new elements that make no sense in the last 2 volumes?
I think serialization has a lot to do with it in manga, with anime originals idk

ngl the first six episodes of any show i watch are usually really easy to binge (if I’m into it) but the last six episodes almost feels like a chore to watch + is when I always start to use my phone/pay less attention unless it’s a show I’m really fw

Cause it’s hard to continuously keep that up for a long period of time while not being repetitive or boring with actually good pacing and building on the world and characters you have.

Bleach had shinigami, quincy, hollows for 600 chapters and was still interesting without aliens invading the soul society or some s***
Berserk had the same cast with a few additions and guts with the same sword and armor for over a decade without miura making him a magic user or w/e
JoJo which has been ongoing longer than one piece only had a change of cast
even episodic s*** like cowboy bebop and samurai champloo had continuously good content without tempting you to skip em

No, they don’t need to change the integrated systems they have established in the story but to continue creating interesting plots and arcs tightly integrated around those systems is probably even harder.
