I think it does matter how the west uses it, though. American (I won't speak for Europe, as I know you're Italian and likely know more about that than I) fans tend to use Shounen in a different way, and it definitely matters in discussion, because how do you have a discussion when two people define the term differently.

most people that grew up with naruto, bleach or one piece as ''beginner anime'' are now in their early to late 20s still enjoying the same s*** they did 10 yrs ago....

and personally speaking, I've found mature vibes in all of those big 3-ish shows.....I mean, that's why they have the appeal they do, cause they have compelling content all ages can enjoy

imagine demon slayer being a live action tv show in america....it'd be some edgy conjuring action horror or worse.

And all of the anime mentioned above have crazy rewatch value while the ''mature'' s*** like elfen lied, gantz, future diary and all the late 2000s ''edgy'' stuff, they have no entertaining value once that last episode is done and the show sinks in

This is the worst take I have ever seen on the internet. Bleach is utter mid and a garbage show if all aspects considered. If you have fully watched Gintama and you don't grasp the show that is a personal issue and nothing with regard to the show.

I dropped a LOT of s*** this week bro

it's like when you actively start watching anime after the s*** you saw as a child you get a good 5-6 years worth of 10/10s but the moment you switch to seasonals you strugge to watch 2 eps a day cause you're already seasoned with all the tropes and stuff

thats why I rewatch a lot. ATM I'm re-watching skypiea along with jojo pt 1
