Digimon, b-daman & beyblade were all created with the sole purpose of selling toys to kids. Storyline came second. Death Note > those type of childhood shows. Watch Yu Yu hakusho or something like that if DN is not your kinda speed

Crunchyroll Awards represent the general audience. Some of my friends are that audience that’s watching JJK, SL, KNY, AOT that don’t watch any other genre. Shows that got a niche appeal is never going to hit a general audience.

That said KNY winning best continuing/animation and Ninja Kamui for best original was absurd.
