I liked the timeskip part on gurren lagann a lot more than the first time, i found the nonsense to be more impactful this time, and yes it reaffirms its position as one of the greatest shows ive ever seen. Im dreading coming back to witch watch and fire force s3

i was looking through my mangadex list a few months ago and i just had a feeling that s*** wouldn't last. i started just torrenting series instead and building my library with YACReader. i didn't end up downloading that much but it's so easy to set up that it won't really be a barrier for me. just gotta find the time to actually read this s*** lol

got some beautiful closure at the end with the family reunion
still dont know if i wanna pick up the manga or just wait

I dont think changing the order of the first and second episode in gquuuux compared to the movie version was that smart. Makes it feel very abrupt

There was an anime stigma, but it was caused by the audience that first adopted anime into the west. It was literal nerds and weirdos.

Your average anime fan was a weirdo back then, and if it wasn't anime then they would be bullied about something else.

The difference today is that a large number of people watch anime now, and the general average anime viewer isn't cringe.

I disagree. I grew up on Dbz, OP and similar shows. Pretty normal stuff. But even these Anime were carrying a stigma. Mostly from white people tho. Brown, Black, Asians were usually more into Anime

i watched it around 2 years ago, not sure when i'll get to reading it. i'll probably start from the beginning though
