I got a manga recommendation called Sensou Kyoushitsu

Protagonist is basically a bard that can guide people and mostly troops with his trumpet songs. After being saved by a strange and suspect Lord he has to join him to fight his wars even tho he hates violence. Due to his skill he has to act as captain for a group of individuals with other magic.

Best way to describe it something like a Witch Hat Atelier meets Vinland Saga. With almost whimsical magic and real gruesome medieval battlefields. Currently 7 volumes out.
