yeah, i wouldn't listen to the jjk comparison though. they're nothing alike beyond the surface level of fighting monsters. dandadan actually has well written characters and isn't entirely dependent on it's fight scenes. the romcom moments between the main two is top tier. the backstories are fantastic, heartbreaking and always surprising. it's also pretty funny. based on anilist scores i think our tastes tend to line up so i think you'd like it

I mean base level. It's better than JJK at this current point. But if someone casually was moving on from JJK then you'll enjoy this.

The plot is better than jjk in some spaces. But unlike jjk the plot doesn't need magic system theories to carry it.

It's gonna be a cult classic like vagabond, but I don't think it will touch JJK levels of popularity
