episode 1 last year was really bad and i guess thats how most people remember it lol (plus the hiatuses), but now when they use cg its at least tolerable. the 2d animation has been really good though and a noticeable step up this cour

Actually most of the original key animation staff who decides the art style still worked on s2.
I agree that I enjoyed season 1 because how different it looked, but they only did that to save money and imitate the original starting art style of Tower of God.
