jellyfish was a quality show but i think it really peaked in it's first episode, none of the other episodes even came close to matching it. idk, maybe it would've shined more in a season without hibike and girls band cry

idk i lowkey miss the days when i didnt have responsibilities and could just choose at random a bunch of seasonals to watch since i had so much free time. Feels like ages since ive been able to give a show lower than 5/10 since im forced to pre-screen them so i dont waste what limited time i have

spring 2024

jellyfish 8/10 - carried entirely by storyboarding and compositing and i wouldnt have it any other way since im a "plot doesnt matter" guy. Immaculate vibes especially during the night time scenes.

girls band cry 8/10 - girls band anime golden age. great writing. really love the cgi here and it really only loses out to studio orange shows and the promare movie in that regard

hibike s3 8/10 - its hibike

salad bowl 7/10 - fun lovers anime of the season. some character storylines are definitely funnier than others but its still pretty consistent for the most part

shuumatsu train 7/10 - its mizushima.

dungeon meshi 6/10 - boring to look at outside of like 3ish episodes. not particularly funny, i actually like the serious stuff more than the comedic stuff

konosuba s3 6/10 - idk if its not as funny as the other seasons or if im just bored of its style of humour after three seasons tbh

kaiju 8 5/10 - this is peak seasonal anime. doesnt try too hard in regards to writing so it never has the chance to f*** everything up. its nice being able to mindlessly watch ppl kill big monsters. i love pg13 attack on titan

blue archive 5/10 - op and ed of the season. if the anime was looked like 75% of what they looked like this probably jumps to a 6 or 7 out of 10

reject ranger 5/10 - no thoughts other than wanting more of suzukiri

the new eupho episode... tears in my eyes man

what a terrible loser ranger episode. felt like it was half finished with the awful sound design and the pacing got even worse. dropped my score to 5 lol

Loser Ranger direction is all over the place, sad to see. Lack of Suzukiri doesn't help it either smh

Jellyfish fumbled the bag in the second half, introducing new problems and immediately resolving them within 5 minutes, it all felt very unearned and underdeveloped. Still a good show, but could've been a great one.
