Saru just got bought out by Toho and they are already announcing projects more than a year and a half out. They also have a small staff, and will not be given time to experiment like they usually do.

Not really sure about how Toho operates when it comes to crunch. But the Anime must've been in development for some time now

Girl’s Band Cry has a nice palpable balance of realistic feelings between the characters, that can be overdramatic at points but is able to match with some smart dialogue that doesn’t make things seem so over the top.

Why do people s*** on the Berserk OVA? It's easily the best anime adaptation it's ever had. Like sure the show is good (90s) but it doesn't hold up visually imo. You lying if you say otherwise. It got the tone, and atmosphere correct though. The OVA does as well for the arc it adapted.

I've never read the manga, cause that s*** seems dense. But I enjoyed all the animes over the years. Arise, and even the CGI one that was on Netflix

its the best adaptation its had but it still cuts out a lot of s*** from the golden age arc. it barely covers black swordsman arc as well

Agreed. Golden Age Arc OVAs were my introduction to Berserk. Went back and read the manga from there. I still appreciate it for what it did though. It's a good enough adaptation to recommend to someone to watch imo.

I've been sleeping on the cgi girl band shows I'll probably pick them up after musume

Not really looking for drama in a show like this personally, to not go on a rant it just feels like the depth they built the characters and group with to start the show is now entirely gone and is being replaced with out of nowhere forced yuri and surface level friendship scenes, the entire focus feels shifted idk, thats not saying it still doesn't visually look good.

Glad you're still enjoying though I hope it turns around for me
