I doubt the author set out with the mindset of "haha I'm going to make some propaganda about family," but the series does go out of its way to show that the typical family unit is "normal" and a good thing.

The society they live in shames stuff like Lloyd being a single father, Yor not being married yet considering her age, etc, but the show never really pushes back on those mindsets, and just kinda goes along with it by creating the Lloyd, Yor, Anya family unit. Then once their family unit is created there's no real downsides to it, everything that results from them becoming a family unit is positive.

Its been so long and honestly I'm really curious what route they'll go for with it. Maybe adapting some of the Cemetery Hills book that was like a sorta sequel to it but knowing PSWG the cliffhanger will probably just be resolved in like five minutes lol. I can't wait
