gokurakugai's one shot and art is so good but man the actual manga is going for some half human/half demon hunting other demons s*** instead of the interesting premise it had in the one shot hope it gets better as it goes on cus it has potential

It was still in the popular consciousness back then. I watched it back in 2015 and I was still pretty new to anime back then so the only way I would have heard about it is seeing people talk about it on forums (/r/anime, 4chan).

Finished Kaguya S2 . That ep on Ishigami's backstory and with the club member's faces was . The principal's accent makes me crine. I'd rank my fav chars so far like

Ishigami is the biggest glow up in this anime

It's really quiet anime so I wasn't always in the mood but when I was it was really great. Beautiful animation and music and each episode is like a folk story. Ended up watching all the seasons and OVAs.

I know they existed before demon slayer but that was the first big one to do it that comes to mind.

I'm watching 11 seasonals right now and none of them have character designs with white pupils. I think you're gonna need to find a bigger sample size here before calling it a trend.

Well it’s the protag from Demon slayer. They changed Midoriyas pupils to white at some point in the anime too, from what I found. Gogetas eyes flashed white in the Broly movie when he charged up that Kamehaha. More than just those 3, but they’re the ones that come to mind most immediately. Admittedly more common in fanart.
@basedspirit @Tranquility I get that I called it a trend but there’s really no need to get hung up on that, I was mainly seeking thoughts on the design choice.
