Well, the first episode that really pissed me off was the one with the main character’s back story. The implication that he should’ve forgiven his abusive mother was weird. They took a dark thing and presented it too tightly.

Also the plot twist about the girl who pretended to be a high school girl and was a real assassin was just a bad twist because there was no foreshadowing. It’s just a thing to make you say “wow that’s so cool” but idk I’ve seen enough anime to not go crazy over that type of twist.

Overall the plot is a little too childish and obvious to me. And it wasn’t that funny. I liked Koro Sensei and it was a nice anime overall, but overrated and pretty predictable to me. I actually prefer MHA if we’re talking about high school action anime.

    Hmmm

Do you think he shouldn’t have forgave her at all? Overprotective parents are one thing, even with the weird obsession that she had with him; but I don’t think it’s anything he shouldn’t have forgave.

That arc really ended with the table scene where they were talking on top of the mountain, which was nice.

I hated the plot twist too though, I can agree with that. But, the way the story went, I felt like that twist was needed; and also def made sense in the grand scheme of things.

I look at it as more of a slice of life anime. It’s action packed yeah. But the real sauce comes from the lessons koro-sensei was teaching them, which can be applied to real life as well.

It’s an anime to bring you back to your childhood feels, and give you a different perspective on certain issues you may encounter.

My future kid will watch this show.

I just didn’t love the characters enough to say it’s a great slice of life. But I agree that was the best part of it. The class setting and their relationship with the teacher.

And yeah it was abuse, and I think they shouldn’t have included that episode at all because it didn’t fit the tone and it wasn’t good.

The comedy is probably the biggest reason I didn’t like it that much

Slice of life stuff and assassin stuff there was cool

You're talking about a culture where your family is supposed to be the most important thing. I'm not surprised at all that they implied he should have forgiven his mother, because I know many, many Japanese people that would imply the same "because it's your mom" lol

But in MHA at least the message in Endevor’s arc is that he needs to work for it and actually be a good father. I liked that more
