i mean... maybe.
he seems to care a lot about japanese culture and landmarks so i just thought that it was weird. literally at the end of chapters he will address a random panel about the wording of a certain character or their motivations grounded in reality from which he wrote it.
thats the reason why i asked the question. anyone can check and double check if what im saying is true. its literally in the first 50 chapters so it wouldnt take ppl more than a day.
and this has been ppls favorite manga/anime for a while and its myy first time consuming the product so i just thought that there would be more talkback or a***yzation about it.

Episode 9 of Lycoris is fire. A lot of the original Anime shows in the last couple years turned out to be disappointing in the end but this show is keeping the quality high till now which makes me trust that they will deliver on this

I donāt know which character said such but in a manga that takes place in a society of people who kill curses (who are formed from the negative emotions of humans) and the curses themselves it wouldnāt surprise me if one of those characters held the opinion that humans just āeat, r*pe, ectā

Plus, a character can say whatever they want regardless of the place they live in. Its not like the character is a representative of the country running around with a statistics handbook. If the character feels like thats what humans do, then they can say it like every human says what he feels like.

Gege perhaps just has a negative outlook on society then I suppose. Iād be super interested to see what he wrote in Japanese and if the translation of his words was a bit liberal or not then (specifically fan translations tend to make things edgier than they actually are)
Aug 24, 2022RoosterShooterfinally reading jujustu kaisen manga....and with how detailed and talkative the writer is, why would one of the characters say that all humans do is "eat sleep and r*pe" when in japan (and the writer who is known for looking stats up) that statistic is so very very very low compared to over developed nations.
hes given decent to good reasoning for his characters wording so far and that really stood out as really stupid.

the manga is cool. sometimes the art is a little difficult to decipher but overall its good. not NEARLY as good as ppl made it out to seem for the past year and a half. all i saw on top ten lists was jujutsu kaisen and...idk...its cool,

It might be commentary about Japan and Japanese culture or it's just an edgy thing a demon would say "all humans do is eat sleep and rape" is just to say your culture has rape so you're not "good" or better than demons

I think if you havenāt watched or read up until the timeskip at the very least itāll be hard to enjoy because you wonāt know who anybody is.
Ideally I think you need to have read or watched until the end of Dressrossa to know all the characters in the film.
