I read smoking behind the supermarket like 2 years ago and really enjoyed it, great to see it got a quality adaptation. The way they released the first 6 episodes all chopped up was really dumb though

For me feel like it became generic after around ep 6 of season 1. The stuff before that was the most compelling: seeing an aging MC have to compete with those younger and how that impacts his psyche feeling the ultimatum of his opportunities coming to an end. But then it just abandons that and becomes boring
