legit question:

why do we keep the anime/manga thread as just one thread in this sxn?

wouldn’t it make more sense to have a separate thread for manga in the Books sxn?

that way, we could keep manga spoilers away from anime-onlies while letting manga readers discuss the series without needing spoiler tags

also, Spy x Family is so good

it’s a nice break from the usual shonen i watch/read

We don't really discuss manga details in here from what I've seen. Just general "I like this manga, or this manga scene here" It's mostly anime talk. I can remove manga from the title if you need me to.

Book section kinda stays quiet from what I've seen. Most dedicated manga series got their own threads in this section like AoT.

it’s just confused me for a while bc manga’s not really TV/Film, but i also get that Books sxn is relatively new, so makes sense why manga was originally discussed (without detail) here

actually, just realized Books sxn does have a designated Manga thread, so it would make sense to remove Manga from the title here tbh

i have such a long backlog of anime/manga to consume lol

i just finished Bleach a couple weeks ago & told myself i’d start reading JJK next. i’ve read like 5 pages of chapter 0 so far

i have Berserk, Black Clover, Chainsaw Man, HxH, Inuyasha, Mob Psycho 100 manga past the anime’s end, and more to check out still

and the Viz app is constantly promoting Beastars, but i don’t wanna get into that series over another one if it’s furry bait, which it seems like it is

This thread is more active than the other one and most anime watchers read manga as well

but also, splitting anime & manga threads will be better for both anime-only watchers & manga readers, with less chance of accidental spoils if people wanna descriptively discuss a series

mostly basing this on every other community that discusses anime/manga having different threads/channels for anime vs. manga

neither. i feel like this is probably the most overrated anime ever.

manga imo the anime is old and ugly, and it can't recreate some of the great panels togashi draws for the villains
