Finished watching Monster after slow binging it for so long. A good detective/drama story but man did the ending left me feeling a bit dissatisfied/confused
The story just felt like it had some plotholes and nonsensical things happening throughout it.
To me it feels like Johan's whole mission/objective was rlly never properly explained or he switched motives halfway through the show. For instance that whole arc with him being with Schuwald (blind dad) was to try and take over his position but after he got stopped by Tenma he decided to then fully focus on finding/killing Franz and then committing suicide? But even then what was his whole world that he wanted to show?
Idg why as kids he was dressed up like his sister either...like ya they are twins but so what? Aside from that I didn't rlly like how that random guy was the one to shoot him. I get Tenma's whole thing is not to kill and so but I feel like if he were to shoot anyone it should've been Johan... Because now with that ending can't it just also imply that he could legit just repeat this cycle again? Since there was no rlly a moment of Johan showing remorse for his actions
And maybe this is nitpicky but.. how the hell was a kid just casually killing so many adults like it's nothing man
Yap over. Not a perfect show by any means but still a good one despite it's silly things and weird plots + hella slow pacing in the beginning
think im due for an eva rewatch
but i never did get around to the rebuild movies
I might enjoy Rebuild more than the series
Didn’t think there would be a fanbase more horrid than mha but jjk are strong contenders. Don’t get offended if you don’t touch grass either. I’ll just think you’re an loser too

This video does a good job at explaining some of your questions. If you decide to watch it you'll probably be left more satisfied with how the story unfolded.
