Ion even like solo leveling, but the animation quality alone, much like Demon Slayer, elevates it from being true trash.

Animation just donāt rly mean a whole lot to me. I mean sure if the story and the characters and the direction is all stellar, then great animation helps. But animation canāt carry a work to me.
Demon slayer isnāt great imo but far beyond solo leveling

The thing is that solo levelings animation is just all about the technicality. Itās not creative animation like what Bocchi the Rock or Monogatari or even Demon Slayer offers (which is plenty technical itself but the way the sword fights are conducted in showcasing the different forms is certainly pretty creative for its animation style)

I dropped S1 maybe 6 or 7 eps in but I just watched the fight vs ant king on youtube which has 30 mil views
I mean it's not bad but I feel like it wasn't even close to something where I'm like yea I gotta watch this show just because the animation is so good. it wasn't even that crazy

s1s first 2-3 eps are easily the peak of the entire show. Itās the only stretch of the entire show that actually has plot progression and stakes. Afterwords itās akin to watching someone play a grindfest video game
