ehh thats not the vibe i got
she always wanted a loving person, and ended up with someone who remained there for duties sake, and even Nana warned her in the second/last episode that she may need to get over him cheating on her in the long term as he was a womanizer,
when a early arc is her vehemently disagreeing with the aspect of cheating.
There was a better love option near the end but dude was a b**** and couldnt deal with the fact his feelings could either save or hurt Hachiko, so chose non action instead
I really need to read the manga now, cause i feel like theres lots missing from the story (as anime often does)
