If someone was hitting on my girl and I said "Get away from my property!" I wouldn't have a girl anymore
Who tf uses the word property to describe another human being?
You've never used hyperbolic language? For humor, for effect, for whatever reason? You think every man who calls his girl "his b****" means that she's his literal dog or is that perhaps...hyperbole? You tell me. Y'all have some boring friendships and relationships if you don't play with words like this. Walking on eggshells because somebody might take it super-literally.

"Have you ever been an unfunny, cringe loser? You haven't?"
You're acting like the attempt absolves the result
ur not wrong from what ive seen. now i would like to see how much weight all of this holds in a court room. idk how romanian court system works but tbh its not looking good.
again tho and because im an american i gotta say innocent till proven guilty which will anger some people but its just the way i see the judicial system.

Yeah obviously people say "my girl" and they don't mean they own the person. You say "my b****" and you're not calling your girl a b****.
But nahh, I've never heard of anyone calling someone "my property". It doesn't read the same way to me at all.

Of course. My point isn't that property is a word that is commonly used to refer to your partner. It's not even a word that I tend to use. All my post did was to illustrate a scenario or context where the word 'could' be used hyperbolically towards someone you love because we, humans, in our day to day lives, use possessive terms all the time when referring to our loved ones, and sometimes exaggerated words, like calling our girl our b****.
I could argue that calling your girlfriend your b**** is just as bad as calling her your property because one way or another you're diminishing her humanity by referring to her as being your female dog or referring to her as an object of your possession, but I know that those words are not necessarily used in a literal sense, but an exaggerated sense. That's all I'm saying.
gonna start calling my friends "my property" instead of "my boys" thanks to @Chilla

Lmao. That's cool if you get their consent first.
why is it always the ppl posting ultra right wing sources saying "they dont know who that is" or their uninformed on the source validity?
ive seen it in more than one person posting s*** you gotta intentionally seek out
it’s in the same vein of “im not defending X controversial and problematic figure im just trying to have a discussion/im above groupthink”
it’s just to stir the pot and have a cheap intellectual victory
Can't get any more deliberately obtuse than this.
exactly the word that floated through in my head yo
I think it's the specific choice of using the word "property" that pushes buttons because it has a more materialistic connotation. The use of possessive terms when referring to someone you love however is natural to us all. My girl belongs to me, as in she's my girl, not your girl, and I belong to her, as in I'm her man, not somebody else's man. Me saying that she's my girl doesn't mean she's only here to please me and has no autonomy over her own body and mind. If a man's trying to holla at my girl and I yell "Ayo, get away from my property! Get your own girlfriend!" most people would understand that I'm not equating my girlfriend to a cellphone, a house or a car. I'm just saying she belongs to me and I belong to her. Tate might have a deeper meaning behind it but this is how I see it.

What will it take for some of you to stop idolizing this guy
tate will have to become a girl with a high body count
@Niggamortis @Knx Can at least one of you point to a specific sentence you disagree with so we can discuss it and maybe add some value or helpful insight? If not then don't bother, all good, but if you do I would appreciate a bit more specificity instead of just ridicule (although I did find some of it funny if I'm being real).
Mind that I live in Europe and it's already 1 AM here so I might not respond if I've gone to bed.
