Satire aside the title of the thread is pretty accurate to be honest. He’s a misogynistic idiot who isn’t even worthy of being called a psuedo-intellectual, he is literally an echo chamber and poster child for all those men who give decent fellas a bad name. On a side point, it used to annoy me when people would lump Andrew Tate and Jordan Peterson and their respective fans together into one group as it it really isn’t an accurate grouping at all, as Peterson genuinely seemed to want to help people and his fans seemed like lost sheep who needed guidance for the most part, now he’s gone off the rails and is spouting almost conspiracy level nonsense because he’s so against the left- after spending recent years telling everyone he isn’t left or right

my point was to say that i look up to people who can be themselves unapologetically. maybe tate is the wrong person to use as an example of that but it's still how i feel

I’ve also (ashamedly) watched wayyyy too many deepdives and documentaries about tate and it seems like he doesn’t have anyone he really cares about or who cares for him. Truly seems like a narcissistic psychopathic person with no friends or family in his life besides his brother, so maybe that tweet is true

Which is really the saddest part about this whole Andrew Tate saga, he has nothing but money. His sister iirc doesn't have a close relationship to him. Every other woman in his life he's turned into a commodity. His friendships with his War Room buddies (if you can call them that) are probably very transactional and based solely on money.

It's pretty pathetic that people idolize this guy because this is essentially the logical conclusion of prioritizing greed and power. In the end he doesn't have anything that I would consider a meaningful or fulfilling life.

it isn't a slippery slope at all. you just have to iron out if you're going to look up to people because they're unapologetic or because their beliefs align with yours (or they fight for a good cause, whatever) AND they're unapologetic

there are hundreds of good role models who were unapologetic and fought a noble cause

andrew tate is not one of them. you can find a different person to look up to while discarding tate as "he is 'being himself' but the views and values he is espousing are detrimental, so i don't respect him"

i don't think it's stupid for me to say i look up to people who can be themselves. you can continue to bring up examples of people who were being themselves that also did horrible things but again, it doesn't change how i feel

maybe it's a bit foolish of me to look up to someone while ignoring the details of what they've done but at the end of the day, i see people who accomplish things, are confident and stern

also i don't want mfs to think im looking up to hitler or some s*** because he was stern. tate was an extreme example too. i think @blonded explained the distinction between this well

aaron i get your point 100%. tate was a poor example, but people who stand on what they believe in with confidence and in the face of opposition are hard to find now a days. everyone apologizes even if they themselves dont want to, just to save face.

to be clear i think you and anyone who looks up to someone or positions someone as a role model without taking into the context their whole character is either a dumbass, is hiding their true reasoning, or doesn't critically think about anything
