90% of her dialogue is either "DADDY!" or "I DONT WANT TO GO BACK!!" s*** was mad repetitive and way too long considering how intentionally incoherent it was and was just a hodge podge of scenes and events

kalilomarilyn is literally ALWAYS reduced to a s***symbol and a tragedy tho. he's not bringing anything new to the table, since this is the overarching narrative people paint of her all the time. he's just perpetuating this to new extremes. it's a necrophilic obsession.
focusing on her actual life, her career, her politics and her choices would've been the original and fresh decision, but he was very adamant about only focusing on suffering:

Nope, like they said it’s based on an edgy fiction story version of Marilyn’s life and her iconography.
Turns up the objectification and trauma and sexuality and everything up to 11, making a statement on her and celebrity as a whole etc
It’s not being touted as a biopic anywhere but it’s still misleading a fair amount of people

I was super hyped for this, but
What was with the talking baby fetus? Is this a pro life movie?
The movie was almost 3 hours and it went nowhere. Same s*** with different guys.

Even though I didn’t personally enjoy this movie, it’s probably the only one I’ve seen all year that actually felt like a true artistic expression in a way that didn’t feel like it was trying to get validation from anybody. Aka what cinema is supposed to be.
So I’ll always commend Dominik for trying to make something real in an era of fake
