Yāall really pick and choose when to call someone entitled. If Andre was a trash rapper no one would bat an eye at the critique.
You can criticize something without being entitled if it's valid and it doesn't involve getting upset and trying to tell someone what type of art they should make

especially since he used to be behind a lot of the boards for outkast, love below and other dungeon family members songs - co prod and a few solo
i obviously do think andre has based musical capability, concepts, understanding n rhythm
i think he moreso is comparing himself to a full blown concert or jazz painist
he can also very well not know automatically where the G key is etc. and still be musically gifted, as is aid earlier itt, it actually fairly common in the Rap and Electronic spaces
but, i think him trying to do whole pieces is a mistake (at least at the level he was 10 years ago of these recordings, who knows what his level is now) and should either do sectional pieces which also exist in jazz and classical, or do "pop" structure and editing
him keeping it for ten years tho, although confusing to release it now, is what i think part of him respecting poano players and the like tho - which some people are finding disrespectful but i dont think he means it that way and only released to coinciede with his outfit and the gala event
i do wish it was more updated playing tho, even if its still in the same home recording format

Weāre almost in fully agreement I just donāt think he necessarily has to adhere to traditional jazz standards (pun intended) and be herbie hancock to release something like this.
but like you said, I think this was mainly released to coincide with his met gala appearance and to further dip his toes into releasing solo stuff.
