This reminds me so much of the R&B I grew up on
Been playing a lot of Neo-soul lately, it’s been refreshing to hear. Had to take a break from the “progressive/alt” type R&B. This dropped right on time
Need more projects with that soulful production. Imagine if niggas like Madlib did more R&B albums
Because *it ScArEs ThE hOeS” which is funny cause hoes love 70s-90s slow jams music lol
ATL seeping into every facet of black music sadly f***ed a lot of development up. I remember @edumist going on a rant about how ari’s new album was marred by all the 808s and trap drums.
Now imagine if Ari was on a madlib beat or a knxwledge beat. It’s crazy we really dont have more r&b singers bringing life to some of these beats.

If you’ve ever been thru heartbreak and knew you f***ed up; this albums for you 💔
In
No, I know I can't do the things that I used to do
No, I can't move the same way I used to move
No way no way
this was really good, but for anyone listening to any of Knxwledge's VGMs, WTs, or other mixtapes a lot of these beats are nothing new
everything about this album is 10/10
just wished the cover didnt look like a 6lack single 😭
Still trying to figure out how Knxwledge gets his samples to have that out of tune pitch effect
I have tried literally everything to no avail
Because *it ScArEs ThE hOeS” which is funny cause hoes love 70s-90s slow jams music lol

Bruh I’m saying!
That soul sound is timeless idc what niggas talking about. That’s why I love the Neo soul era so much. Those artists took the essence of Tribe and Dilla and brought the feeling right back home. D’Angelo could cover a Smokey song and have a soul/jazz sample type track on the same album and it worked seamlessly. Feels like a celebration of Black music
Madlib def got the sounds to make the perfect album for that lane

Knx is clearly a student of Madlib so it’s cool to see him expand that musical universe. At the same time it feels like NxWorries fits right in with the Soulquarians/neo soul family tree
Erykah did with New Amerykah. She had tracks from 9th, Madlib, and Karriem. She wanted to bring that vibe to an R&B album and it worked (twice)
We need more albums like this with strong vocals and songwriting 💯

one of nxworries best songs ever came from

Was thinking about that when I was listening to this NxWorries
It’s like hearing a Dilla/Madlib beat tape but fully fleshed out
