The moment when Jeff literally slips and Gene briefly chokes is still a season highlight for me
"Look at me!
"
kinda forced tbh
No human in existence will choose to be locked up forever. Was never something his character built towards showing. And I know people will say "if he's free, he'll end up right back there".
Exactly
i agree it's unrealistic but so is like a ton of stuff that happens in the BB/BCS continuity. character studies are meant to convey themes or ideas more than they are supposed to be reflections of real behavior, even if their settings are grounded in reality. it's clearly making a point about redemption and retribution, not literally re-enacting how people would act if they were Saul irl
Idk to me it was more realistic character reactions to unrealistic situations
Last night we got unrealistic character reactions to unrealistic situations...hell we got that the last few eps cuz they made saul a total dumbass over and over just so the series could end
He deserved a Gus type exit. They did him dirty
man died in the dark with gus shooting blindly
also since we know Gus doesn't die there I feel like there wasn't much tension in that scene
only thing I didn't like honestly is how quickly Lalo went out.
most goated Breaking Bad villain man was gone so fast and I realized there was still like 5 episodes left
In a gun fight to gus
woulda bought it better if it were Mike since he's similarly OP
if this show was somehow condensed into 4 seasons instead of being slow asf half the time, it would probably be equal to breaking bad if not better.
but as of now, no, sorry. Still incredible show though.
ngl took me like 4 yrs just to get through the first 3 szns of this show
but the second half all goat level tv
Now this MID is finally done, Marvel’s Black Falcon and the Winter Soldier on Disney+ is still the best television show ever created

Seasons 1 thru 4 shoulda been condensed to 2, and season 5 and 6 shoulda been stretched to 4 seasons, that would be the ideal content

I’m a huge Breaking Bad fan and I watched a few episodes of Season 1 of BCS way back when it started but I stopped because I’m not a big fan of prequels because I feel like we already know where the main characters’ stories end up.
I’ve seen nothing but praise and admiration for every season of this show since, and I gotta ask, as someone who isn’t a fan of prequels would I enjoy watching this entire thing?

You might even enjoy it more than Breaking Bad (many BB fans itt do)

i don't fully disagree but at the end of the day they had to work within certain story confines, i think the ending could have been more interesting too, but for the type of show it is i think it worked

How was Saul a total dumbass? He was clearly looking to get the Slippin Jimmy rush back again & went 1000% with it once Kim made clear she wanted nothing to do with him.
Makes sense considering how destructive he’s always been.

This show completely rewrites the script on how to make a prequel imo.
