I’m surprised Kim would be allowed to continue practicing law after admitting to her part in the Howard scheme
I'm fine with it just cause the explanation makes sense. Saul was a wall he built to not face his personal issues. Throughout BB you never see anything from his personal life.
If BB was shot after BCS Kim would absolutely be mentioned and would be in the show somehow, but for a prequel that introduces several characters that aren't in BB, it does a fantastic job explaining why for each and every one
Perfect? Absolutely not. But can't ask for much more than what we got
I think they ruined it by giving him the 7 year deal. I just find it hard to believe that Saul/Jimmy/Gene would ever give that up for life in a s***hole federal prison. Not even jimmy showed any indication throughout the show that he would do something like that. It felt out of character especially how we went from Gene considering strangling a old lady to save his ass just last episode

A few episodes ago he was ready to give his life for Kim's when he convinced Lalo to send her instead, giving her the option to escape and save her life
I think Kim is the only person he puts before himself, going from 7 to 80+ is a stretch but I buy it
I don’t mind the conclusion of the show, landing on prison…I kinda thought that’s where it was going || One thought I did have last episode || Kim told him to turn himself in, and then I did think to some capacity after the phone call she thought her confessing to the Howard thing would lead to Jimmy abandoning saul Goodman persona and rescuing her, which he did. Jimmy has always fallen on his sword for Kim throughout the series, so it is believable and it was a good plot device to get there whether it was her intention or not
But…hmmmmmm…thought it would play out a little differently in terms of getting to that point.

She scammed her way to meet him lol

They hadn't seen each other in like 6 years at that point though. It's also not like he saved her, she's still getting sued for all she got most likely. All he did was try to match her energy when he heard she confessed to the howard Hamlin situation and earn back her respect. But giving up a 7 year deal in a pampered prison for life in a s***ty federal prison? That's really hard to buy. Maybe if they had more time to stretch it out but watching the past 4 episodes back and knowing how this ends is gonna be so weird just cause it feels so rushed imo.
Whole show was leading to that court scene. All that pent up regret and trauma, all the lies Jimmy told, finally spilling out into a brutally honest confession on the stand where he’s under oath. He redeemed himself to Kim
I'm not fully buying that Jimmy threw away a seven year deal. I'm sorry, but what?
even if he took 7 years i think the federales wouldn’t have stopped investigating him and found something else to stick on him
Oh one more thought the Chuck scene was amazing in context to the other flashback scenes. Jimmy wants to talk to Walt and Mike about the time machine. But in the Chuck scene he’s in a rush and doesn’t want to talk about his cases with Chuck or bond. Then at the end of the scene the book Chuck picks up is about a time machine. that was a hella sad scene in context of the show.

That nigga gene was gonna bash a guy with cancer’s head in and strangle an old woman before getting caught. You telling me he passed on 7 years for life in prison, an episode later?

Better Call Simp.
There's gotta be a missing episode lmao
favorite part was the courtroom scene when jimmy stood up looked at the camera and said "guess i was a saul badman all along"
