Nah I saw an interview or something way back when season 5 was starting where Pete or Vince said that originally they never planned to have Lalo show up at all, then when Pete convinced Vince to include him in the show they were originally just planning for him to be in like 4 eps before he was killed off.
Then Dalton blew them away and the rest is history.
Similar thing with Jesse in BB, Vince originally saw him as being killed off in season 2/3, but they loved the Walt x Jesse dynamic so much they started to change their plans.

Jul 14, 2022Bad Finger BoogiePlus notice that Gus played it super similar to how he saw Nacho play it - he learned from watching that situation.
Nacho talked that s*** and controlled the speed of the situation by gassing up Hector and company, and in doing so created a window to do what he needed to do.
Gus saw how Hector reacted, knew the hubris of the Salamancas, and played the situation with Lalo to his advantage in the same way. Started talking that s*** for the camera, making Lalo feel like the big man on campus, then pulled the rug out from underneath him in the same way that Nacho did. Only difference was he had home court advantage.
It’s amazing how ironic it is that Lalo warns S&K about Gus but doesn’t follow through himself

You should definitely give it another chance bro it's an incredible show. I had the exact same situation as yours, BB fave show then came to this and I couldn't get through the first ep. But then I came back to it when I knew I had no other distractions or anything else going on that day and I got hooked just like that and now this is my fave show ever lol. You just gotta have a little patience with the beginning that's all. Then when things start to click you're just in awe of the brilliance at work here.

I’m terrible at remembering which episode something happens cause I binge them and I had just binged season 5 & 6A together. So I don’t remember which episode exactly 😭 but someone earlier itt told me it was in 6A
