The fact that the thing that triggers Gus into realising the superlab could be the target is him mentioning the spiced curls is just chef's kiss stuff.

Last season he had that meeting where he pitched the spicy curls to the German board or whatevever that owns Los Pollos, so in this ep he mentions the curls, suddenly remembers the German element, then he's just having a fullblown panic attack when he connects all the dots

Also, to everyone complaining the Howard stuff is small scale etc, this ep definitely tipped the scales on that - Jimmy gets back to the apartment and they're totally unphased that Howard's worked out they're f***ing with him ("You know what's coming next") so him suspecting Jimmy and putting the pressure on him seems to all be part of the plan.

I'd say all the pieces are now in place for what's to come.
