Before season 1 aired I remember Vince Gilligan said it would take place “before, during and after Breaking Bad”. So I was kind of expecting them to show up sooner, but it seems like over time the writers saw a lot more value in focusing on the origin story. Which I’m glad for. It makes me wonder how they’ll factor in both the during and the after to one season tho. My guess is we’ll get the during and after in those last 5 episodes. We’ll see
