I’ve been asking for months for y’all LOTR fans actually give me insight onto what I might be missing when it comes to the franchise, but none of y’all ever reply with anything of substance.
I give LOTR it’s just due for being the grandfather of the fantasy genre, but that is really where my praise ends. Many of the derivatives that have come from it, have lapped it, and surpassed what it offers.

It's not even on a LOTR faithfulness level or any of that fan boy s***. Set all that aside and just from a pure filmaking/characters/storytelling standpoint, if you think the m9vies are even comparable to what was in this show....there's no explaining it to you you just don't get it.

Nah for having a budget much higher than game of thrones it sure didn't show
And I wasn't even referring to the visuals I was referring to the plot ect, emphasized "looks" cuz anyone can edit a dope trailer, the writing and characters could easily be just as awful as season 1 for all I know, some more "IM GOOD!!!" Type dialogue
