Why have they made Galadriel so unlikeable
Idgi like they purposely make her a d*** to everyone.
shes like a 1000 years old in the show and in the OG trilogy shes like 7000 years old. shes still kinda young yk and we'll see her grow into the galadriel we see
Holy s*** episode 3 was best by far
This ain’t even a show it’s just a 50 hour movie tbh. So many f***ing shots are gorgeous I’m loving this s***. The orcs are amazing, that last action scene was amazing

dawg she’s thousands of years old
she not built the same
So Halbrand is Sauron right?
That’s what a lot of people are saying. Seems too obvious though.
Was that not sauoron at the end with all the orcs chanting his nickname
Rewatched fellowship of the ring, then watched like another 4 hours of lore videos. Man LOTR is boring
I can appreciate the depth of the world building and lore, but hardly anything I watched was compelling enough to make me want to read the books. I’m a fan of the fantasy genre, I think LOTR is basically inventor of the genre more or less which is cool, but I’d say they’re a few who have seen the formula and tweaked and refined it for the better. Like what Dragonball n DBZ did for Shonen.
If it was my introduction to the genre I’d probably be more compelled to like it. By the time I had seen LOTR for myself I had already seen a lot of other series that you could say were inspired/derived from it. So when you go back to the source of it all, a lot of villains and character motivations seem very one note.

All of this s*** pales in comparison to the books
you're looking into all this lore not realizing it only gets really compelling when Tolkien himself is describing it in the context of the novels

Dont think so. I mean it is a Elf turned evil though so possibly. I think I read somewhere it wasn’t though.
Silmarillion has some of the coolest s*** ever. Giant spider gods, elves fighting balrogs, swarms of dragons, a character that's basically Satan. It's so much fun but also mysterious and elegant at the same time. Feels more like classic mythology.
Tolkien created an entire language from scratch
dude was nuts
Those elfs sure are a rude and entitled, galadriel just openly talking s*** like that to a queen

As she should. They are children to her.
