It depends on the writers Peter and MJ always work to me but as her knowing his identity. Clark and Lois tho I think are always fine.

The TV show Debbie is much different and it’d be an insult to her and to Sandra Oh IMO. In the comics she did none of the costume-finding-investigation stuff, she wasn’t watching with Cecil. Her crying on the bed at the end of episode 8 was great and believable. I wanna see her more proactive in her sadness and anger and not just be a crying wife

But that's not what she just was though. She grows out of it and still works and moves on with her life either ways. If you're talking about how long she stays like that then that is different

So I haven’t seen her full arc yet

I mean that’s still realistic though, especially when someone goes through something as traumatic as that. Doesn’t mean she’s a weak person or a weak character (in the show), people just respond to trauma and heartbreak in different ways.

In the comics she was definitely a pretty underwritten and underdeveloped character, but I don’t think there was anything wrong with how she dealt with what Nolan did, that’s probably how any real human person would react in her position.

Definitely, I more so was referring to how long she stays in that state for.

But it may be because she was underdeveloped from the start in the comics,

Where in the show, it might work even better because she’ll go from stronger and more fleshed out TO that broken woman and it might hit and work better
