Surely they’ve had to see other delivery drivers in the area before. It’s crazy to just grab the strap over someone having tinted windows.
Its probably because you doubled back which is usually a huge red flags in those areas.

So I have been doing DoorDash on the weekends to make some extra money for my expenses. I try to avoid the hood areas but last night I accidentally accepted a high-paying order from the hood late at night. The order was for a dozen sets of Krispy Kreme donuts.
As I exited off the highway I immediately noticed it was the hood but I couldn’t just unassign the order because it was too late. Once I started driving in the subdivision, these dudes on the sidewalk started eyeing my car and kept looking in my car to figure out who I was and where I was going. Plus my tinted windows didn’t help my case. I ended up passing the apartment and had to make a U-turn, but in the process of doing this, my actions caused the dudes to pull out guns from their trunks. I saw one dude holding a long gun(maybe an AK?) behind a car while the other dude was peeking at me waiting to give him the ok to shoot.
It wasn’t like they casually had them in their hand either. They had their fingers on the trigger prepared to open fire on me if I stopped. I didn’t even deliver the donuts, I sped off and got my ass back on the highway. I kept my composure but knowing my life could have been taken over by some donuts is crazy.
As someone who’s DoorDashed in between jobs
You gotta pick an area with a bunch of subdivisions and s*** and don’t even accept apartments. You can tell by how the blocks look on the map. Also going airplane mode allows you to bypass that bullshit where they try to make you choose or end your dash/put you on pay by order instead of hourly by time
That being said all you had to do was tell them your DoorDash immediately when you noticed them. “Hey I’m DoorDash you know where building ____ is” lol

The first option. You get an order you don’t think you wanna do, make a note of how much time is left on the timer and go airplane mode until that time is up. Once the time is up go back to regular mode turning off airplane mode and They’ll message you like “we tried to send you an order” and “your dash has been paused”. Unpause your dash and start accepting orders again
Don’t know if I shoulda typed all this out cuz they definitely gonna eventually patch this lol. But f*** them tryna make niggas go any and everywhere like we robots who don’t have the right to discern between going to foul areas after a certain time. Stay safe

Thanks, I did that tonight and it worked perfectly. I was only in the suburban areas and I was able to avoid any shady apartment complexes. Airplane mode is def the way.
