Yeah he did he was on interscope and working with Em at the time. The rhyme schemes and themes of d*** use are very Charles esque. He’s kind of em influenced so him writing for em just always made sense, and the rumor is too random to not be true

he was in the black album sessions and the furthest it went was hov asking him "what would you say after this line". he never actually wrote for hov.

im also pretty sure, pharrell write his own verses. he dont get credit for being a really good rapper

Meanwhile QM's name is missing on the credits for Blessings and RICO when he wrote Drake's verses.

Lupe once said he “gave jay joints” for the black album. Not lines, joints. I think he played it down later because he realized he shouldn’t blow that up but I don’t think he misspoke. There’s contradictions so the statements your citing aren’t guaranteed facts

These theories go hand in hand with the Em clone theories

It’s like they just brought people on to make Em music the best they could when the well dried up

They started with Charles, an Em fan musical prodigy who Jimmy Iovine liked

That didn’t work so they got BoB, a more successful peer of Charles

Then I think for MMLP2-present they found a new casting choice, might’ve been an unknown, giving us the weird Em from then on
