i feel like the director did not want to go deep into the political argument with this which is why he left so much of it up to the viewers perspective, but in doing so the film loses some substance imo. I enjoyed this tho, definitely something different.

Why should a movie explain why a war is happening when war is a mystery in real life? Look how many confused people question why we’re going through this war and that war.

That’s usually the basis of war, a group attacks another group, the other group retaliates. Wether it’s a gang war, police war, or countries at war.

Also the reason for the war is pretty easy to figure out… the president was making crazy moves such as air striking people and disbanding the FBI. Obviously one side heavily didn’t f\*\*\* wit it while the other side did, which escalated and escalated until a war broke out

We don’t need the movie to spoon feed that to us when all the info is already there.

This was a very enjoyable watch. I don’t think it needed to dive deeper into the politics or reasoning behind the war. It was just a great experience 👍🏾

they talked about it for like 2-3 mins dude. Explaining it further would not have been “spoon feeding” it at all. They basically threw some crumbs on the floor and said make what you want with it.

you can still delve into the plot and importance of the war in the movie without getting political. If you don’t agree then sure that’s ur opinion but don’t tell me they set the table perfectly for anything when they barely touched on it.

Ask yourself what legit reason would a country go to war with itself and kill its own. Bet any reason you think of is gonna sound dumb, because there is no legit reason. So why explain stupidity to the audience? This movie is more so the negative affects this dumb war has had on the citizens and a group of journalist trying to capture it all.

It’s pretty common sense that 1 side f***ed wit the president heavy, while the other side didn’t f*** wit the president at all. Not sure what else you needed them to explain.

Did niggas want some cliche ass scene of Lee talking to Jesse about “remember 10 months ago when the president did an air strike on his own people, and that caused everyone to pick a side? That air strike was the day my life changed, he might as well have striked me down too cus every day since then I’ve had to witness our country kill and destroy each other. They are killing and destroying each other all because 1 group of people refuses to believe air striking is bad and will side with the president no matter what.”

I would’ve walked out of the theater if that type of scene happened.
