I wasn't trying to diminish the importance of journalist. I'm just saying the lead up to this movie and the title could throw a lot of people off. The movie's promo gave us a map of a divided America and that got people talking...also.. "What type of American are you?"...From the outside it looks like it was intentionally using the current political climate to market the movie. But the movie itself isn't about the political climate.

So lame and uninteresting, I knew it was going to be more about journalism and ethics rather than the war itself but man it barely has anything interesting to say about journalism let alone anything else. No substance, no style. Netflix original tier movie with the cynical final evolution of what A24 has always represented — branding. It’s slapped on like a sticker.

Men was ass, and Annihilation is an adaptation of Vandermeer's book. Garland's original s*** has been missing since Ex Machina
